My early outdoor climbing experiences were at the Red River Gorge and Horse Pens 40 and were few and far between.

I am still a gym rat at heart, but I am admittedly involved in a series of ongoing affairs with real rocks as well. This boulder was one of the first that I threw myself at relentlessly.

After many seasons of effort, I finally earned my crimping merit badge by sending this 4 move problem in Chaos Canyon.

In 2010, I completed The Automator in Rocky Mountain National Park and became the first woman to climb a confirmed V13.

A great deal of my outdoor days are spent climbing in Rocky Mountain National Park. More than 60 of those days over a three-year period were dedicated to attempting (and finally finishing) this problem - Freaks of the Industry.

The majority of my outdoor climbing has occurred within the U.S., but I have also ventured as far as Greenland to establish new boulder problems.

On occasion, I get higher than 20 feet off the ground...

...and in very rare instances, I find myself waaaaaay off the ground.

But I always come back to my true love, bouldering.
